Naz Nathani founded MACC Group with a mission to redefine care and senior living through visionary developments and uncompromising quality. Since 2004, he has driven the Group’s growth by sourcing strategic sites, navigating complex planning challenges, and delivering landmark projects that consistently meet cost and timescale targets while setting new standards in design and functionality.
Alongside development excellence, Naz maintains a relentless focus on care delivery embracing innovation and technology to elevate both quality and efficiency within the realities of affordability and the cost of care. His ability to turn ideas into reality, supported by trusted long-term relationships across property, finance, and operations, has established MACC’s reputation for reliability and forward-thinking design.
Looking ahead, Naz continues to lead the Group’s ambitious vision to create a national portfolio of over 50 modern, market-defining care homes and senior living communities fulfilling vital needs for older generations and contributing to essential national infrastructure.
Charlie Ellis
Chief Finance Officer
Charlie Ellis brings deep expertise in corporate finance, tax strategy, and commercial planning to MACC Group. Having advised the Group for several years before joining the leadership team in 2020, Charlie plays a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and ensuring sustainable long-term growth.
Renowned for his precision in forecasting and his ability to align financial planning with MACC’s ambitious expansion goals, Charlie ensures that growth strategies remain grounded in financial reality. Bhav Amlani
Commercial & Legal Director
Bhav Amlani brings a strong background in real estate and finance law, enabling MACC Group to navigate complex transactions, partnerships, and regulatory environments with clarity and confidence. A seasoned C-suite executive, he has a proven track record in leading teams, driving transformation, and scaling operations.
Bhav focuses on value-for-money strategies across the Group’s operations, supporting strategic direction, commercial performance, and procurement within the trading care home portfolio. His ability to balance commercial opportunity with legal rigour ensures MACC remains well-positioned for sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
Matthew Drysdale
Land and Acquisitions Director
Matthew Drysdale leads MACC Group’s land and acquisition strategy, using his extensive property experience and wide professional network to identify and secure high‑quality sites for future developments. Known for his ability to source both on‑ and off‑market opportunities, Matt combines strong commercial judgement with a deep understanding of site viability to ensure each acquisition aligns with MACC’s growth ambitions. His work delivers a consistent pipeline of prime locations for the Group’s expanding portfolio of modern care and senior living communities.
David Mahoney
Design Director
David Mahoney is an award-winning architect with national recognition for creative excellence and design innovation. Formerly the head of PCPT Architects, a respected leader in heritage architecture, David brings decades of experience and a reputation for visionary thinking to MACC Group.
As Design Director, he leads the architectural vision for the Group, ensuring every development reflects cutting-edge design, quality, and resident‑centred functionality. David combines creativity with precision, setting new benchmarks for care and senior living environments. His leadership ensures that MACC’s developments deliver aesthetic distinction, practicality, and an enhanced experience for every resident.

Mike Ellwood
Mike Ellwood is a highly experienced corporate banker and board advisor, known for his strategic insight, financial acumen, and deep understanding of complex organisations. As Non-Executive Director at MACC Group, Mike brings decades of leadership experience in banking, investment, and governance to support the Group’s continued growth and operational excellence.
Mike previously served as Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking at Santander UK, where he built the division into a major force in the UK market – growing assets to over £20 billion and leading a team of nearly 1,000 professionals. Prior to Santander, he held senior roles at RBS, including Managing Director of Structured Finance, where he led high-value transactions and strategic initiatives across multiple sectors. Jenny Gibson
Jenny Gibson brings over 30 years of experience in health and social care to her role as Non-Executive Director at MACC Group. As the founder and Head of Solicitude Training, Jenny is widely respected for her deep sector knowledge, leadership, and commitment to elevating care standards through education and workforce development.
A qualified nurse (RGN) with a BSc (Hons), PGCE, and management credentials, Jenny has held roles ranging from Director of Nursing to Specialist Advisor for the CQC. Her career reflects a consistent focus on improving care quality, empowering staff, and supporting services to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Jenny is known for her ability to conduct thorough training needs analyses and deliver engaging, impactful learning experiences. Her work has helped numerous care providers improve their regulatory ratings and build confident, competent teams.
